Mileena
MILEENA
Mileena was one of Shao Kahn's deadly assassins,
believed to be the twin sister of Kitana. In fact,
she was actually a grotesque clone of Kitana created milennia ago by
Shang Tsung. Unlike her sister, Mileena was totally
evil and could not be trusted. Her weapon of choice were the sai, and she
enjoyed using them to inflict pain on others. Mileena served as Shao Kahn's
assassin, but unbeknownst to anyone she had plans to seize power
for herself.
During her time in Kahn's castle, Mileena met
Baraka, a savage warrior who had recently been appointed to lead Kahn's
armies. Like Mileena, Baraka had plans of his own, and the two immediately
formed an alliance. When Kahn hosted the second Mortal Kombat tournament,
Mileena and Reptile were ordered to keep an eye on
Kitana, who was suspected of treason. Mileena met her in combat, and was slain
by Kitana.
Some time later, Mileena was resurrected by her creator, Shang Tsung.
Her services were needed in Kahn's invasion of the Earth realm, and Mileena
joined the fray while concealing ulterior motives.
She then met up with Baraka, who had just returned from quelling an
uprising in a forgotten sector of the Outworld. Once, they had dreamed of
ruling the Outworld together as king and queen, and these thoughts had not
left them. They attacked both Kahn's armies and the assembled Earth warriors,
but were defeated and driven back to the dark recesses of the Outworld. The
two waited until the time was right, and reemerged once again when
Shinnok invaded the Outworld.
